Wow! Where did October go? Wasn't it just yesterday they were putting out the pumpkins at all the grocery stores? Now here it is the 27th and Halloween is THIS weekend!!!
Amazing!
I really should visit my blog more often, you see, I actually ended my 92 Day Juice Feast on day 31. Reasons? 1) It was very difficult to sustain in the cold weather 2) I kept craving CORN 3) I learned more about my emotional triggers with food/weight/diet issues.
The result was not too bad, I lost and was able to keep off 16 lbs, but I did feel deprived and not able to participate socially with my friends at such a fun time of year.
A couple of weeks ago, I had a "session" with a Reiki Master and new friend who is a healer. She shed some pretty enlightening insights with me. We talked for a while as I had my head under her laser light therapy for my scalp (yet another amazing manifestation), and she began to ask me more questions about my hopes and dreams - one of which was in the area of attaining my slim, supple, sexy body :)
We ended up chatting for a couple of hours and she helped me delve deep into some insights stemming back from my childhood. Basically what she encouraged me to do is, make "friends" with food, and love that "little girl" we spoke of. We talked about issues of abandonment which I had not quite pinpointed about my past because they were ever so subtle yet ever so harmful! Especially in the area of coping with food.
As I sat there, I felt the layers peeling off my psyche...the ones that have kept me trapped for so many years. She seemed to ask just the right questions, and as tears streamed down my face, I realized there was some major inner stripping/cleansing going on. I realized, once again, it's NOT about the FOOD. It's about the ENERGY. The thoughts and beliefs we have regarding our bodies, and what we ingest.
That day it was like a lightbulb lit up and I realized I would never be the same. To say that I felt FREEDOM would be an understatement as I have no words to describe the sensation I experienced. All of the sudden I remembered HOW to love myself. That little child within that had covered herself up with layers and layers to protect herself. All she needs is LOVE!
I know all of this sounds so simple, but it was an impacting revelation to me. I KNEW I had to love myself...but didn't realize how far back I had to go to reach for that.
So here I am today. I've made friends with food. I did not ease back into food the way I had been taught by my juicy friends. I just went for the thing I wanted most...POPCORN! But this time I did not eat the whole pot, shared some with the dogs, and I ENJOYED it...this time much more consciously...listening to my body...learning what it means to be truly hungry, or just eating out of some emotional trigger. Golly it's so wonderful! I not only listen physically, but mentally and soulfully as well. Giving myself LOVE instead of FOOD. Allowing myself to FEEL! Realizing that the PAIN is not who I really am. I did gain a few pounds at first, but slowly the scale showed me evidence of my self care. The numbers lowered.
Eckhart Tolle also taught me a lesson from his book The Power of Now that says there are two of us. The observer, and our TRUE selves. We are not the emotions we experience. We are much more DIVINE than that. We must FEEL our emotions when they come...embrace them...and then take a look at them...as the observer! What happened when I did that was truly MAGICAL...the pain started to disappear...why? Because I released the idea that I was the emotion or the pain...when we look at it from the observer's point of view, it totally loses its power. Freaking AMAZING!!!
Thank you Sherry, (my Reiki friend) and thank you Eckhart for leading me into clarity as I've never known it in this area of my life.
Today, I feed myself GOOD wholesome, mostly organic foods. I stop eating when I am full and I am incorporating more exercise. Don't know if I am following any particular "plan" yet. I am not sure if I should even have one...other than just LISTENING! Something I never really did before. I am still all about DETOXING and will continue my research on what the best way I should keep approaching this will be.
That is where I am today. There will be much more as I speak of two things I learned from a conference I went to this past weekend...one is about CORN (yikes) and the other about SALT. After some more research in these areas I will come back on here and share what insights I have gained.
Thanks for reading! Holi Happy Health to you, :D

Fall is truly here! Day 19 :)
Okay, so here it is, OCTOBER!!! Yay! The air is crisper, it doesn't get as hot during the day, and I am feeling GROOVY!
I know it has been a while. I've been busy uploading vids (which take so much longer than I planned because I am a filming fool!), and catching up with all the Facebook and Twitter stuff. Also, I've been going to some really cool screening, and meeting up with friends, old and new :)
It is with great pleasure that I announce - "drum roll please" - 14 lbs lost! Gone. Bye-bye. Flushed away forever! That's right! Not only am I loving my juicy days, but I have started visualizing for longer periods of time and consistently which has helped tremendously!
Remember, WE create our own realities, whether we are conscious of it or not!
Life is GRAND and I am sooo Grateful for all the blessings which I am constantly showered with!
On another note, about a week ago or more I went through a little PMSish depressive syndrome for about a day. But that ended and the next day was full of impetous to plan and redirect my thoughts. Yes, the tears were a good detox as well. Necessary for the forgiveness and self nurturing that followed :)
I started the Ayruvedic "oil pulling" about two weeks ago. Please contact me if you want to know more about that.
After the above, I brush my teeth and have my hot "lemonade" - juice of 1 lemon, 1tbs apple cider vinegar, 1/2 tsp sea salt, and 2000 mg of MSM (for skin, hair, nail, and joints), all mixed in a mug of hot water.
Then, I continue with my daily green juice: spinach or chard, celery, apples, ginger - with maca, bee pollen and hemp oil (ice too).
During the day I consume either a pear, peach, watermelon, pineapple/red pepper, or grape juice...
Later I have my Spirulina with coconut oil, pinch of sea salt, and cayenne pepper
All followed by a smaller evening green juice!
It's a whole day of nutrition that I could never get with a SAD diet! Body is cleaning up and shedding the unwanted poundage!
Lovin it!
See you next time, :D

92 Day Juice Feast Day 9!
Happy First Day of Autumn!!!
Wow!! Where does the time go?? It has been a fantastic week of juicing for me :) Last week I had a day of greens, watermelon, and pineapple, the perfect ingredients for releasing inflamation. Today my green juice was a combination of dandelion (a great detoxer), kale, lettuce, celery, spinach, beet greens, ginger, and apples. I mean, I went hog wild just grabbing anything green I could get my hands on from the fridge!! Oh, and I even threw in 1/2 a cucumber that had been in there for a while. The end result was an amazing juicy green concoction which sent my cells to orbit and back!
So here on my 2nd week of juicing really loving it. Especially since to date, I have lost 9.5 lbs!! Yippee! Lost 8lbs the first week and 1.5 lbs from yesterday to today.
I have tried to take a few walks, even if my Juice Feaster Guru (Angela Stokes) says you should not start exercising till day 45 - I just can't stay away from the beautiful scenery I live in here in Topanga. Besides, my walks are basically nice strolls, nothing too strenuous.
This weekend however, I did sort of overdo it physically. On Saturday I participated in the Coastal Clean Up here for Heal The Bay in Santa Monica, so I was constantly bending down picking up debris, cigarette buts, little bits of wrappers and plastic, bottle caps, etc. Needless to say I am STILL sore! Mostly my legs got it the worst. But it actually felt good to exert some dormant tissue! LOL...also, on Sunday I spent the day walking around and participating in the Day of Peace on the Santa Monica Pier. By Sunday night I was exhausted!!
Everything is going great! Last night I went over to celebrate my dear friend Cris' birthday and instead of cake we had an amazing carrot, apple, ginger juice!! She is also working on streamlining her figure. What a treat that was...we watched Dancing With The Stars on a wide screen in the rec room of her apt building and sipped our juice ;) It was awesome!
Today's juices:
The Green concoction
Beet/Carrot/Apple
Peach
More Green Juice
Spirulina w/coconut oil
Yummies!
Have a WONDERFUL First day of FALL, :D

92 Day Juice Feast - Day 2
Good evening - well - at least it's evening here in SoCal. The crickets are chirping, and I just came back from a nice brisk walk with my recent favorite companion, Topanga, the chow retreiver mix who belongs to my roommates :) Her excitement to go for a romp motivates me to get out and breath this fragrant country air! I felt energized as I visualized my desired body and improved physical abilities.
The scale said I lost 3.5 lbs today. Not bad for my first day of feasting on fresh fruit and vegetable juices. I am still having food cravings, mostly popcorn. One compulsive behaviour which I plan to transition out of. The triggers to eat are frequent. Anything from watching a video to good news, to stress, to feeling tired...all emotional triggers to eat. However, I am on a juice feast and remembered the oh so popular quote "nothing tastes as good as thin feels". Who wrote that anyway?
Today I woke up feeling very "dense". It helped to have a stimulating conversation with my roommate and later take in a nice guided meditation. My journal also got a healthy entry this morning. I wondered though, why I felt so heavy. Was it emotional? Was it changes in my body? A detoxing symptom? I had no desire to get up out of bed. Weird. Maybe I need to get to bed earlier. I didn't retire till 1:11 am last night.
The weather has been divine! Crisp and invigorating. It really helped snap me out of my morning stupor. After my green juice and later peach juice I felt renwed and ready to MOVE.
Today's menu was:
My special hot lemonade: lemon, olive oil, sea salt, apple cider vinegar, hot water
Morning Green Juice: celery, beet greens, red leaf lettuce, apple, ginger
maca, bee pollen, hemp oil (20 oz.)
Spirulina Flakes with olive oil & apple cider vinegar
Peach/Apple Juice (12 oz.)
Beet/Carrot/Apple/Ginger Juice (20 oz.)
Green Juice: same as above w/out the superfoods & oil
Cup of Rose Hip tea w/agave
So there is Day 2 of my new adventure!
Thanks for reading :)
Cheers, :D

92 Day Juice Feast - Day 1
Well hello everyone!
Here I am FINALLY embarking on yet another amazing Juice Feast. I must say, I have, as Oprah said at the beginning of the year, fallen off the wagon. In fact I've been rolling around in the dirt for a while too! Yeah, the move to a knew place, less space, no place to put my produce, delay in setting up my juicer, financial crunches...all let to dropping the ball on juice feasting.
So, that's all in the past now and I have finally put my foot down to entering into optimum health again. For the most part I stayed within a raw food diet, but there were days when I totally crumbled and gave in to cravings. However, NOW, I bought a little fridge all to myself, my finances are steadier, and my juicer has found a new home...so HERE I GO!!
I've been noodling around in The Juice Feasting website created by David Rainocheck (see link below). I feel like I probably need a coach at this point so I think I may invest in one of their plans.
Today I had:
Upon Rising -
hot water w/ lemon, sea salt, olive oil, apple cider vinegar (Yummy!)
This is to cleanse and detox the liver and bowels. Yay!
Breakfast - around 12 noon - lol (I wasn't hungry until then)
1 green juice: (20 oz)
2 apples
6 celery stalks
a big handful of spinach
1" pc of ginger
2 hrs later -
1 pinapple juice: 1 whole pineapple (20 oz)
1 hr later -
2 tbs. spirulina flakes w/1 tbsp olive oil & lemon
8pm later -
1 cantaloupe juice: 1 small cantaloupe (20 oz)
10 pm
1 green juice: (as above 20 oz)
I've gone to the bathroom a lot - eliminating liquids - the pineapple is an anti-inflamatory. Eliminating wastes very nicely ;)
I only felt a little bloating and discomfort around 7:30- 8:00pm - Liver and gall bladder are detoxing!
I also had a cup of Ginger and a cup of Rose Hip tea - each with a tbs. of Agave Necatar :) The temperatures dropped today here in SoCal and I even had to turn on my little heater! Yay! No more hot summer sweating (I live in the country and this house does not have AC!). I will sleep nicely tonight as the air is much crisper.
As soon as I felt hungry I would have a juice. Prepared them in advance this morning and kept them in glass bottles with lids in the fridge. Prior to today, I had been having popcorn almost everyday (home made with coconut oil) so I sort of missed that. When I'd get a craving for food, I remembered I was on a juice feast and just grabbed a juice from the fridge! Yay!
So that was Day 1 of my new Juice Feast. I thought I would wait and record a video only after a week of the Feast, but I wanted to be able to capture the visual of my progress, so I just recorded a clip which I probably won't upload until I've uploaded all the other videos from my last juice feast! LOL
I'll be back tomorrow to record my thoughts and juices.
See you then, :Damaris

Hello again!!
Okay, I think enough is enough already. I've run out of excuses to not get back into the routine of juicing. I am finally moved into my new place, my juicer is set up, AND I just got the cutest little fridge all to myself. NOW I can keep my gorgeous organic produce without it spoiling!
So, today is day one of my new plan. I call it... "JURASMU" (short for Juicy Raw and Smooth). It's a plan I have devised to include Juicing, Raw Foods and Smoothies. 5 days of Juicy Raw Smooth and 2 days of just juicing! That's a green juice with supplements for Breakfast, a fresh fruit snack, a beautiful raw meal (consisting of a salad with avocados) of which I will start getting more creative with, another fruit, and then a gorgeous Smoothie with frozen (fresh) fruit, almond milk, and hemp protein.
Wish me luck! Off I go...
Oh, and I just got a cool blogsite you may want to tap into as well:

Blissings to all, :D

Well, well, well!!!! What a HOT summer it has been so far! I was able to stay on my juice feast for about 51 Days successfully. Unfortunately, I had to cease it earlier than my anticipated 80 Days because I had to MOVE! Yes, it was a downsizing from the City to the Country. The great part is that I LOVE my new surroundings. So much NATURE all around. It did however, take me quite a while to "settle in". Moving into a smaller space and not having the kitchen commodities I was used to having really took a toll on my juice feast.
SO!!! Here I am about to buy my OWN fridge because I just don't have enough space for all my produce with just one shelf of my roommate's fridge.
My 51 Days or so were VERY fun and I am still in the process of uploading my videos on YouTube.
You can check it all out on my channel: DiviniD
Will keep you posted on my next plan of action as soon as I get my new refrigerator!!!!
Challenges are just tests to prove to ourselves how determined we are and where our true desires really lie.
Peace and Blessings, :D

Day 17!
Hello There!!
It's Day 17 of my "Around The Juicer In 80 Days" juice feast and I'm loving every minute! I'm down 13lbs and today felt a REAL burst of energy at a time in the afternoon when I am usually sluggish. Come see my progress on YouTube. Even though I am a little behind in the uploading dept., join me on there and please feel free to contribute constructively as I continue to grow and learn more about Living Foods and the power they offer us!
I just read something from a book called "Acheiving Great Health - How Spirulina, Chlorella, Raw Foods and Ionized Water Can Make You Healthier than You've Ever Imagined" by Bob McCauley that I wanted to share. (I know, that's quite a long title, eh?) The forward is by Raw Food Guru Gabriel Cousens. It says "The cure for all disease is found in your local supermarket in the produce section. ....We must alkalize, hydrate and detox the body." Great advice and an awesome book!
Yeah - we are sick because we have toxins that are going around and around in our cells. We are in a state of "Autointoxication", so it's no wonder we are a society sick with all kinds of ailments and dieseases. When we release toxins we heal. It's THAT simple. Cells need Live, nutrient rich foods to function properly and our "Standard American Diet" is sorely depleted of this.
Check out my YouTube vids for all that fun stuff!

Look forward to your comments - Peace, :D

Hello everyone!
I'm back to announce my new YouTube page "DiviniD". It has been so much fun shooting my own videos. Creating, Editing, and Posting is hard work, but has been an amazing challenge stretching by abilities. Hopefully I will be getting all my videos up soon.
After falling off the wagon during this past holiday season, it was like moving through mud to get myself motivated and clear to get back into the saddle of caring for my body again. Taking a long hard look at what went wrong and where I can improve took a bit of time. Those feelings of guilt and discouragement kept me in "coast" mode. Not moving forward. However, I am happy to say, with much guidance and support, I've begun my second Juice Feast and it's going GREAT!
My new video series is called "Around The Juicer In 80 Days". There you can watch as I undertake an 80 day Juice Feast. I look forward to all the benefits my body will reap from this ultimate infusion of nutrients. The Post Feast is where I need help, so I plan to keep video blogging right through while I post feast and then slowly transition back to food. Last time, I stepped right into holiday toxicity and later really felt the consequences. Now, with lessons learned things will be different!
I look forward to hearing from anyone with suggestions, comments, or even questions. There are some amazing experts out there in the field of Juice Feasting and Raw Foods. It's a true blessing to have so much information at our disposal by just a click of the mouse.
